Automated Response

Every day after school we ask Jonas how his day was, and what his favorite part of his day was. It is easy to remember and pick out what bad things happened during the day, those events stick out like a sore thumb. So we try and encourage him to talk about what he enjoyed first, and lock onto the good stuff. If he can do that, well, then the bad stuff seems more manageable by comparison. Clearly though, sometimes even Jonas is annoyed at our constant barrage of optimism.
